[ribbon toplink=”true”]Why are we doing this?[/ribbon]

As students leading the forefront thinking of tomorrow, we feel that it is crucial to reshape the way we look at sustainability and apply it to all jobs that are being offered. Whether a company exemplifies ethical and green practices already or is eager and desires to have students with integrity who will influence the future of their company and make it greener, it is all about the “how” and not “what” makes something green. Every company has the potential to become green, and it is our quest to pair passionate, driven, and whole-system thinkers with employers wishing to meet them and cultivate them for sound business practices and support networking skills for future personal growth.

“As a polytechnic university, it is at the core of our mission to examine the ways in which knowledge may be applied to improve society, manage scarce resources and protect and preserve our environment. Sustainability is a high priority for the university and a key issue that should cut across all we do, including teaching, research and the practices we engage in on the campus.”

— Former President Warren Baker

It can be profitable to carry resumes because they may be requested, but at a mixer a business card can be more presentable for more social and casual interactions with employers.
